Laura Gualdrón

Sustainability Consultant

Laura Gualdrón is an architect passionate about sustainable development and the role of architecture in promoting environmental and social well-being. She has an academic background in Colombia, Mexico, and Italy, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Universidad Santo Tomás, where she graduated cum laude, and a Master’s in Architecture for Sustainability from Politecnico di Torino, where she graduated with honors.

From 2017 to 2021, Laura worked on urban design, public space, and urban planning projects in Colombia, collaborating with government entities and real estate companies, with a focus on sustainable development. In 2018, she and the team at “Taller de Arquitectura Bucaramanga” won the Karl Brunner Award at the XXVI Colombian Architecture Biennial for their work on public space revitalization.

In 2021, Laura was awarded a scholarship by the Colombian government to pursue her studies at Politecnico di Torino, where her research focused on passive bioclimatic strategies, envelope optimization, and thermal comfort. In 2023, she was part of a research team on a project in collaboration with the World Health Organization, which won the Innovative Health Design Award from the International Union of Architects.

Since September 2024, Laura has been working at GET, specializing in LEED and BREEAM sustainability protocols.
