Daniel Suarez-Riera has a background spanning architecture, civil engineering, and sustainable construction. He holds a Double Degree between Universidad Central de Venezuela and Politecnico di Torino, with a Master’s Degree in Architecture for Sustainable Design, and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
During his academic career, Daniel developed a strong interest in sustainable building solutions, with a particular focus on material innovation and circular economy principles applied to the built environment. His research activities addressed the integration of recycled and alternative resources in cement-based materials, aiming to enhance both mechanical and environmental properties, contributing to several scientific publications in the field. His doctoral research was awarded the “Excellent” category at the Sclocchi Award, recognizing the quality and relevance of his work.
Throughout his studies and research experience, he worked in multidisciplinary contexts, collaborating with architects, engineers, and material scientists. These experiences strengthened his ability to bridge design-oriented thinking and technical analysis.
He joined GET in October 2025, with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) activities. He is progressively involved in broader sustainability consultancy processes, including support for LEED-related requirements and construction site best practices, contributing to GET’s integrated approach to sustainability in the built environment.
